EAST LAS VEGAS COMMUNITY CENTER The East Las Vegas Community/Senior Center offers the community a wide range of Cultural and Senior programs. The center houses an 1,849 capacity ballroom, 95 capacity multipurpose room, (2) two conference rooms, learning room, reading room, loom (weaving) room, ceramics studio, pottery studio, music studio, computer lab, arts and crafts studio and dance studio. Cultural Programs include: Guest artists performances, special events, dances and classes. The following is a sample of activities: Student Showcase, Teen Jam Dance, Annual Military Appreciation Ball, the Annual Las Posadas event, Summer Workshops, Movie Series and Workshops for children. The center provides classes in visual and performing arts for all ages. Classes include: art, pottery, ceramics, weaving, Latin dance, Salsa, Salsa Jazz, and Ballet Folkorico. Senior programs include: Summer Workshops, Classes, Special Events, Computer Classes, Nutrition, Foot Care Clinic and Senior Law Project.
