Oktoberfest (all ages)

Free admission and open to the public.

Oktoberfest is returning to downtown Las Vegas with live German music, dance, traditional food, beer and children’s activities. Entertainment by the Oompoporama Band and the Las Vegas Bavarians' dancers. Traditional German beer and refreshments available for sale in our Beer Garden.. Limited free parking is available at the Historic Fifth Street School. Metered parking is available directly across the street from the celebration. The event is presented by the city of Las Vegas in partnership with the German-American Social Club of Nevada. Enjoy an evening of fun learning international dance styles, including Arabic, Armenian, Bulgarian, Chinese, Greek, Israeli, Macedonian, Russian, Serbian and Turkish folk dances. No need to bring a partner. These dances are presented weekly by Ethnic Express, a nonprofit volunteer organization. Dance to a live acoustic band playing joyful tunes, driving reels and a waltz or two. All dances are taught and called; newcomers and families welcome. No need to bring a partner. Wear comfortable flat-soled shoes and casual clothing. These dances are presented by the Southern Nevada Old Time Contra Dancers, a nonprofit volunteer organization. Scottish country dancing celebrates the beautiful ballroom dance styles of Scotland. Dances can be joyfully energetic or graceful. From the first chord to the final bow or curtsey, participants will be inspired by the driving reels, jigs, strathspeys or lilting airs. Dancers should wear comfortable clothes and soft shoes. These dances are presented by the Southern Nevada Old Time Contra Dancers, a nonprofit volunteer organization.
